ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation

Not required. Testing must be done by an independent New Hampshire laboratory licensed by DHHS under RSA 151 and He-P 808 (general laboratory licensing rules); neither He-C 402.15 nor He-P 808 requires ISO/IEC 17025.

Notes

• Rules: He-C 402.15 (Testing), unchanged since 2018; the October 2025 rule updates did not touch testing.
• Microbials (harvested cannabis): aerobic bacteria ≤ 10^5, yeast and mold ≤ 10^4, coliforms and bile-tolerant gram-negative bacteria ≤ 10^3 CFU/g; pathogenic E. coli and Salmonella not detected in 1 g.
• Mycotoxins: aflatoxins and ochratoxin A < 20 µg/kg. Heavy metals: As 4,206, Cd 2,704, Pb 8,712, Hg 8,712 ppb.
• Pesticides are not a per-batch test: DHHS directs a screen for the prohibited chemicals in He-C 402.34 at each cultivation site at least quarterly (pass: ≤ 10 ppb each).
• Residual solvents (solvent-based concentrates): ≤ 500 ppm, ethanol and isopropanol excepted.
• No water-activity, moisture, terpene or foreign-matter test is required.
• Adult use is not legal: the Senate killed House-passed HB 186 in 2026, and the governor opposes legalization.
